I’ve been preparing to transition into the SF area and vetting companies for several months. Its been both frustrating and exhausting to find that you can rarely get a consultant on the phone and when you do, they can neither confirm or deny that the units in the gallery actually like or are similar to the units available. To add, the unit prices are ranges and nothing is clean, clear or concise. My consultants name was Chris and he was professional, polite, thorough and knowledgeable! I was so impressed, that I asked to speak with management. Mark was the MOD and I found him to be equally engaging, professional and courteous. Both parties seemed to really care about the company and the services rendered. I appreciate having had that experience- it was REFRESHING! And now I just have to keep my fingers crossed that everything else is equally as impressive. Thanks Chris and Mark!

I was here for two years. A job forced me to move to another city. Otherwise, I would not have left! Amazingly central location and is within walking distance of just about everything SF has to offer. The Pinnacle staff was always very nice and helpful. During those times when they were not available, security at the front desk was usually able to take care of my needs or forward a message. Having storage units and parking available in the building was also a plus. Not to mention the great views!

I had a great experience at The Pinnacle at Nob Hill. The location is great, and the apartment is nice and modern with a beautiful view. Mark Pantig was very professional and helpful throughout my stay. I highly recommend this place!

Moved in here at the beginning of the pandemic and got a sweet deal with stunning views of the bay (pro tip: try to secure a room that faces the Salesforce tower and has balconies, it's worth it). The building itself was built in the 60s but got a pretty modern update so everything inside feels very new. Staff is very nice and accomodating. Maintenance team also responds pretty fast and the whole premise is usually kept very clean. There's a laundry room on each floor so that's very convenient. The gym is compact but should fulfill all the workout needs one can have. The location is really great too. If you are looking for food or nightlife you can easily walk to Polk street or Northbeach/Chinatown. Union Square is just down the hill but be aware of the walk uphill if you decide to go there. There's also many nice bars one block down the street on Bush. In overall this is the best place I have stayed at and I feel sad that I had to move out. Anyone who's interested in renting here should definitely give it a shot and tour the place.

Key Things to know about The Pinnacle •I believe it is the nicest rent-controlled building in SF (and rents can increase 15% a year in SF). •PG&E NEVER cuts the power to this area (even when they turn off the power to surrounding counties to prevent wildfires). •4 blocks to Union Square •Even the 4th floor (the building has 19) has views to the water. oAll south facing units get direct sunlight. •1 block from Tacorea (aka Taco/Korean; which I consider the best fast-food in the city). •300 ft elevation above Market Street, so there are fewer vagrants than elsewhere in SF. Us •We have lived in the building for 7 years. Liked it so much that my in-laws moved in across the hall after they immigrated. •We often consider moving to SOMA or University Ave in Palo Alto, but none of those areas are rent-controlled. Surprises •When we shipped our furniture from New York 7 years ago, it arrived before us. The building staff put it in our unit (and even carried our sofa up the stairwell, because it didn’t fit in the elevator). oThe current building staff is even nicer than the previous. •Pinnacle used to be full of tech employees, but now it’s filling up with down-sizing suburban empty-nesters. •Utilities are $200-300 on top of rent per month. •I think it’s one of the safest places to be in an earthquake because it’s built on bedrock (check out the SF liquefaction maps). •If you haven’t lived downtown, the Blue Angels fly overhead during Fleet Week in October. •There is a waiting list for parking spaces. The Downside •No central A/C, but this is probably the coldest/foggiest spot in the Bay Area. Buy a fan for October though. •They’ll only give you 2 key fobs per apartment. •Penthouse floor can hear people on the roof deck. •Don’t rent a unit next to the trash chute. •Key fobs for the door break every ~2 years. •The windows could be cleaned more frequently.

Our unit at the Pinnacle is home. We enjoy our space. The maintenance staff is very responsive when required. Office staff is friendly and helpful. Miguel, our night concierge is the best ... I do not like the “large availability sign and telephone number” on the side of the building as it takes away from the building’s attractiveness. It is wonderful to have a gym, a computer room, and a rooftop to enjoy a cup of coffee while admiring the view, it’s lovely!

Overall: I'm excited to live here! Homework: I scoured all over SF to find the right studio to rent for less than $2k. This building has been upgraded and is very tasteful. It's walkable to Union Square, garage parking (extra), indoor fitness center, mail room, fast elevators, and much more. Mark the assistant manager was thoughtful and gave fast, friendly communication. Day of Moving: My movers were 3 hours late, so I had to move-in after hours. Miguel at the front desk and was amazing! He answered my questions and accommodated my movers and myself for the fastest move I've done.

I have been living here for a week now and love the community. Building is clean and I feel super safe. This is my first experience living in a high rise so far so good.Dillion was my leasing agent and made the experience easy and simple. I am happy and hope to be a long term resident. The maintenance team was friendly and came in fixed the minor issues with my place upon move in. I am really happy to call pinnacle home!

I lived in a one-bedroom apartment at the Pinnacle for two years. I loved my time there, and I would have stayed longer if they had larger apartments. The apartment itself is high quality -- Recently renovated with modern facilities and basically no evidence of prior tenants. The staff is very friendly & helpful, and they have provided a number of thoughtful perks to tenants like well-appointed gym and lounge, modern laundry facilities, secure package room, fast & well-maintained elevators, etc.

Building is clean, well maintained, with a great set of staff managing it. I rented here, sight unseen, and the leasing team was patient and accommodating with all of my questions and concerns during the leasing process. Couple of small maintenance issues when I moved in were solved almost immediately, and the place has so far exceeded my expectations!

I would highly recommend living at the Pinnacle to anyone in their late 20s or older who is looking for a quiet place to call home. The staff is attentive, friendly and goes out of their way to assist residents however possible. Management is continuously updating the interior of the building to keep things fresh and regularly hosts events to help residents meet one another. The building is pretty strict with parties, even on the weekends, so you will not have to worry about neighbors being too noisy.

Additionally, there are rent control measures that prevent tenants from being hit with a massive year over year rental fee increase. This is generally unheard of for a luxury rental building. If ever I were to move back to SF, I'd look to return to this building.
